Ukrainian tennis player Sergiy Stakhovsky overcame the first round of Wimbledon, beating Frenchman Julien benneteau.
The fight lasted four sets. The match ended with the score 6: 3, 7: 6, 2: 6, 6: 2 in favor of Ukrainian.
“At some point, it seemed that Sergei can play. When he unexpectedly lost in the third set 2: 6… luckily it turned out that it was only a temporary glitch. Stakhovsky won his fourth match at this tournament and reached the second round of the basis”, – noted in the Federal office.
In the second round Stakhovsky will face the Japanese kei nishikori.
