Ukraine increased its export of frozen fish in 2018, 43%

Ukrainian exports of frozen fish 10 months of 2018 increased by 43% to $ 1.1 million.
About it reports a press-service of Ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine.
“In the first 10 months of 2018 on foreign markets was delivered 511,9 tons of Ukrainian frozen fish for $ 1.1 million. Over the same period last year exported 485 tons of such products on 770 thousand dollars. Consequently, export earnings increased by 43%”, – stated in the message.
It is noted that the increase is due to the reorientation of Ukrainian producers in other markets of the world. So, in January-October this year, almost 66% of the total export of frozen fish (in monetary terms) were in Europe, while in 2017 was sold frozen fish to the CIS countries – 60% .
The largest buyer of Ukrainian frozen fish in 2018 was Germany – 110 tons for 348,3 thousand dollars. Among the leaders: Hungary (126,6 t 297,3 thousand dollars.) Moldova (112 tons to 196 thousand us$). and Azerbaijan (62 t 94 thousand dollars). In the same period last year, most such goods exported to Belarus – 229,6 t on 301 thousand.
In the context of commodity positions, for 10 months 2018 more than total exports of frozen trout – 54.2 tons for 259,1 thousand dollars; carp 44,4 MT to 126 thousand dollars.; walleye – 30.3 m at 120,8 thousand dollars; soma is 12.2 tons for 8.7 million dollars.; herring – 11.9 MT of 13.8 thousand dollars; hake – 11.8 t for 24 thousand dollars.; sardines – 10 t for 10 thousand dollars.
In 2017, total exports 652,7 tons of Ukrainian frozen fish for $ 1.1 million.
