Russian spacecraft “Soyuz” with two American astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on schedule. Later, the Soyuz docked with the International space station and the crew came on Board the ISS to perform a 5-month mission.

“Union” delivered into orbit Russians Alexander Misurkin, and NASA pilot Mark Vande Hey (Mark Vande Hei) and his colleague Joe acaba (Joe Acaba). Three members of the new crew joined the Italian Paolo Nespoli, American Randy Bresnik and Russian Sergei Ryazansky.

50-year-old Aqaba spent almost 138 days in space during two missions, and 50-year-old Vande HEI served in Iraq before becoming an astronaut. 39-year-old Misurkin, which begins its second mission aboard the ISS, also has military experience.
Aqaba is a native of Puerto Rico, and on the eve of departure he told reporters that he would take on Board the ISS music in the style of “Latin” to raise the mood of their teammates.
