We switched to a more intensive model development, value-added, using a larger number of skills, digital transformation, AI and big data. We take business to a new level. In General, the IT industry of Ukraine “Matures”, the industry started to develop more systematically and harmoniously. In turn, we have identified priority areas that clearly formed its own development strategy, and follow it.

Your “Formula for success”: Success is a team effort. A good Manager is not one who overcomes difficulties, and those who organize an effective team and inspire it to great deeds and thus directly taking an active part in the work. You need to remember that “the battle winner is not the commander” and be prepared for hard work. It will not be easy.

Who did You dream to become in childhood?: A scientist. However, I was a teenager during a difficult period in the life of the country (war in Afghanistan), because I became a “military scientist”.

Do You have a dream that is not yet realized?: I prefer not to dream and to set goals. At the moment I’m focused on the withdrawal of Ukrainian IT-industry to a higher level. Creative, intelligent industry is the future of our economy, and today we need to focus on their development. In addition, I would like to continue practicing science and teaching: I’m interested in the ways in which you can combine 30 years of experience in the IT and modern science, for example, quantum computers.

Today to be successful is… to build a big business or a big company, which brings tangible benefits equally to employees and to society as a whole. If the business does not perform these two tasks, he cannot be considered a success. Ukraine needs to develop a creative middle class, his absence in our society is a huge problem.

Your favourite saying?: “Madness – doing the same things and expect a different outcome”. This phrase is attributed to Einstein.

What are the three main qualities of a successful leader?: To be a team player, to build a successful team able to work independently. To work, to delve into the details, infect personal example. Constantly improve their professional level.

The sample Manager in the world?: Peter Thiel. I like his approach to building a business. This man successfully creates the future, leads to a large number of people. Unlike his eminent contemporaries, for example, Elon musk, he knows the extent of adventurism and not out of bounds.

What do you value most in your employees?: In the first place for me was and will be professionalism. Appreciate people’s independence, initiative and willingness to take responsibility.

If happiness is not in money, then what?: Money provide the person a certain level of comfort. Happiness to look back, not a regret for the lost time. I’m not just talking about work or business, for example, proper upbringing of children is also a result to be proud of. Happiness – achieve personal or professional results that are important to humans.

Whom in this life You jealous?: Scientists who solve the global problems of mankind. Those who can focus on the task on a planetary scale, and not have to deal with tactical problems. They create the future as we develop real.

What trait is Your biggest flaw?: I often look for a compromise and give people numerous chances to improve. This is a good method of team building, but bad from the perspective of effective crisis solutions. Unfortunately, sometimes for the sake of achieving a result to be guided by the principle of “chop wood – chips fly”, which for me is quite difficult.

Do You have favorite book?: I read a lot, my “mandatory minimum” – one book per week, to name just one favorite is difficult. From the literature on business I can highlight the book “From zero to one: Notes on startups, or how to build the future” Peter Thiel’s.

Who of historical figures You could be friends with if I were his contemporary?: I’m an introvert and for me friendship is very personal. But it would be interesting to meet personally with Einstein and talk with someone at this level.

What wonder of the world You would like to move to your hometown? That it symbolized?: My native city – Kiev, and he is sorely lacking good roads. I would have moved somewhere – from Singapore, for example – a great interchange, the freeway. Roads and infrastructure in General – is very important for a positive image of the country, it is the first thing you notice people coming to Ukraine.

Imagine that You came to visit the US President with a request to show Ukraine. Where would You invite him to the tour?: Let’s talk about a hypothetical President of a major country, not about a particular person. I tried to show the many facets of our nature from the Carpathians to the Dnieper, in the steppes of Central Ukraine, the sea in the South. Our country is the biggest in Europe and very beautiful, but we often forget that.

What do You consider your greatest achievement in life, and what is the biggest mistake?: The business, which we are now developing at the level of the Ukraine and Eastern Europe – is something to be proud of. We give opportunities for the development of tens of thousands of young people.

We can’t say that I regret it. Probably not the best turn of fate was in the army in place of science classes, but eventually everything was back to normal. If a person is drawn to something, sooner or later he will come back to this lesson. Our generation was destined to live in the era of “cool” changes: the collapse of the system, periods of “turbulence”, the echoes of which we feel till now. On the one hand is bad luck, on the other – the opportunity to live in the time of the birth of something completely new.

What is the lesson for You – the best vacation?: I’m a big fan of active rest. Skiing in winter in the Carpathian mountains, yachting that you can do in Kiev, on the Dnieper river in summer.

Do You have a dream that is not yet realized?: Led me to bring the company to the European market for construction services and enter the ten best European companies in the construction services.

The most significant achievements in Your professional activities in 2018: It was a very active year, there was a lot of work. We conducted a re-format of top management within the company, the composition and internal interactions, strengthened thereby the positions of leadership of our company, as well as prepare for new heights. Despite all complexity of work in our market to maintain and increase the capabilities of the staff.

In April 2018 I with a team of Ukrainian Business Association represented our country in the international arena in the UAE as Ambassador of Ukrainian business. Acquired a circle of like-minded and interesting people, the leaders of the Ukrainian business which each other inspire and energize. The most important event in 2018 was the victory of our company in the most prestigious and ambitious construction award of Ukraine – IBUILD. The expert jury appreciated our contribution to the industry by awarding us the prize – the Leader of metalloproteinase.

Also important event this year was the fact that, despite the huge amount of work, we did not forget to support the sport. Were held matches in the construction of the League, held the Cup of builders, and we have also supported the football and a healthy spirit even in our Army.

Your “Formula for success”: Be always persistent, always improve.

Who did You dream to become in childhood?: As a child I loved to ride long distances, and to his grandparents for the holidays. Therefore in the childhood I dreamed to become a driver truck driver or a bus driver long-haul flights. Still love to travel driving. And later I wanted to be a fighter pilot, still at the sight of military aircraft my breath away.

Do You have a dream that is not yet realized?: My dream is to create a dream team with all the necessary parameters and qualities to which we now come. And to build an advanced manufacturing with all the modern innovations, which will become an example for the whole country.

That gives you the opportunity to be leaders in their industry?: Maximum involvement of the head, the love for his work and dedication and full commitment. The owner must clearly understand the goals and mission of their company, to be able to calculate the necessary resources to achieve these goals. Must constantly develop leadership skills, to learn and to be an example for his team. Constantly communicate with your team, managers, and staff, as well as with partners and customers to see and understand the full picture of your business.

What do you value most in your employees?: Honesty, initiative, personal qualities, each their own, but together we are complete team with a complete set of the necessary skills and dedication, mutual understanding and respect, and of course the desire to grow.

If happiness is not in money, then what?: Of course happiness is not in money, but in their number. Truth in every joke has some truth to it, as money allows to achieve goals, solve problems, and gives some freedom in our decisions. In General, happiness is when you achieve any success, when all around you successful colleagues and partners, satisfied customers and you can devote enough time to your family and friends.

Whom in this life You jealous?: To be honest, I never envy. I always wondered the definition of this feeling, for me it’s more the realization of what he really wants. Feelings of envy I may have if there is, I feel it as something unattainable, which may need to be achieved, but only if I know what is the right benchmark.

What trait is Your biggest flaw?: The thoroughness in the details and desire to take on everything and do everything yourself. I constantly work on it, sorting all incoming tasks by priority and sequence, distributing them to your team, but there is still work to be done.

Do You have favorite book?: Hard one to call: “the 7 habits of highly effective people” (Stephen Covey), Homosapiens (Noah Harari), “Think and grow rich” (Napoleon hill), “the Transition to the blue ocean” (Kim Chan), “New earth” (Eckhart Tolle). Who of historical figures You could be friends with if I were his contemporary?: Interesting question, so many great and interesting personalities in the history of civilization. I, for some reason it seems that it could be Alexander the great, perhaps because in our age of rapid development and competition is constantly struggle, battle with difficulties and rivals. It’s probably in me says the fighting spirit, the thirst for victories and achievements, of course, along with his team.

What wonder of the world You would like to move to your hometown? That it symbolized?: I would have moved to Ukraine Ministry of happiness. As far as I know, it is in Dubai. This, of course, unregistered wonder of the world, but I think it really is a miracle, a public authority where the Minister of happiness together with his team daily to think of how to make inhabitants of their country happier, isn’t that a miracle?

If You have discovered a new planet, how would You call her?: Maybe I’d call it “Guiding star” that everyone sees in the stars our focus and I would also like that the name was special, gave some guidelines and hope.

Imagine that You came to visit the President of America asking you to show Ukraine. Where would You invite him to the tour?: In the first place I took him to the Pechersk Lavra, this is the place where I lived since birth, my parents at that time rented a room there. It is a place with tremendous energy and a special magnetism. I would show him our wonderful city with water, have a ride on his boat on the Dnieper.

What do You consider your greatest achievement in life, and what is the biggest mistake?: I think that all the main achievements are still ahead, because I have a lot of benchmarks and goals I want to achieve. What we have achieved is that I have a big and friendly family, great group of associates, both inside the company and in the business community.

We always make some mistakes in life, most important thing is not to make them twice. Reflecting on the greatest, to be honest I tried to avoid big mistakes in life. But maybe it’s the fact that before to plunge into difficult business I have not studied any easier ways or more margin and attractive destinations. Although I can’t say that I’m very upset about this.
