The defence Ministry confirmed on Monday that the Pentagon has approved additional military support for the Ministry of national security on the southwest border of the United States.

“In response to the request of the Ministry of internal Affairs from December 27, 2018 acting defence Minister Pat Shanahan approved the Ministry of defense until September 30, 2019”, – reads the statement of the Pentagon. Additional military units will now be placed in all places of entry, they will be able to use a mobile surveillance and detection. American troops will also continue to provide aviation support to Customs and border services.

By the end of November, the military has already installed more than 10 miles of wire fences in Texas, Arizona and California.

This request for support is separate from the ongoing White house effort on the potential use of existing resources and personnel of the Pentagon for the construction of new sections of the boundary wall.
