South Korean President Jain moon (Moon Jae-in) said on Tuesday that the joint military exercises scheduled next year with the United States, can be postponed until after the Olympics.
The South Korean leader in the interview for “NBC News” said that he did “offer the United States, and they currently consider it”. The President Blue House in Seoul said on Wednesday that the postponement of the joint exercise will depend on North Korea if it will not conduct any provocations before the winter Olympic games 2018 to be held in South Korea in February. President moon said that the pause in the demonstration of military power will help create “a favorable atmosphere for inter-Korean and U.S.-North Korea dialogue.”
However, Secretary of state USA Rex Tillerson (Rex Tillerson) said in Ottawa on Tuesday that he was not aware of any plans “to change long-planned military exercises, which are held regularly”.
