Russia has failed to destabilize Ukraine and to reduce Western sanctions that were planning to do in 2018.

This was stated by foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin during a conference by results of activity of Ukrainian diplomacy in 2018.

“The Russian plan last year to destabilize Ukraine, about how to get out of political pressure, sanctions, absolutely not worked”, – said Klimkin.

The main achievement of diplomacy, he said, is that European politicians do not consider Russia a threat to Ukraine.

“Sanctions now are working very well against Russian companies and oligarchs. They will continue to grow. We’re working with friends and partners… and supply of defensive weapons – not only the “Javelin” and the canadian sniper rifles, but other topics on which we are now negotiating. Finally the resolution, including regarding the demilitarization of the Crimea. Look at how countries expelled Russian diplomats”, – said the Minister.
