The government ran out of money for a program of assistance to mortgage holders

The Russian government will no longer be able to restructure troubled mortgage loans. According to the newspaper “Kommersant”, allocated for the implementation of the state program of assistance to borrowers 4.5 billion rubles has already ended.

In February-April 2017 the Russians submitted more than 30 thousand applications for restructuring of problem loans, while 19 thousand of them met the conditions and could count on state support.

According to close to the Agency for housing mortgage lending of the interlocutor of the newspaper, the program had to work until may 31, so accepting applications, it was impossible to suspend. However, allocated to help borrowers money — 4.5 billion roubles were distributed among the recipients at the end of March.

As the newspaper notes, the citizens whose applications are not met, do not compensate for the cost of collection of all necessary statements and certificates, the cost of which may reach up to 7 thousand rubles.

The program was launched in April 2015. It included the restructuring of distressed mortgages at a rate not exceeding 12% per annum, and the difference to the Bank is compensated by the state. Each participant can count on the sum of not more than 600 thousand rubles.

As told the newspaper the Deputy Chairman of Absolut Bank Tatiana Ushkov, people do not hurry to apply, including on the basis of statements of officials regarding the possible extension of the program. However, according to “Kommersant”, the common position on the future of the program and allocation of additional money from the officials yet.
