The G7 is ready to impose new sanctions against Russia because of the Ukrainian seamen captured

The foreign Ministers of the G7 countries urged Russia to release Ukrainian sailors, who on 25 November 2018 was a force trapped in the Kerch Strait in November last year.
“We call on Russia to release detained members of the crew, to return the ships and not to impede the passage of ships through the Kerch Strait,” – said in a communique issued following the meeting of Ministers in France.
“There is no justification for the use of military force by Russia against the Ukrainian ships and personnel. We call for restraint appropriate to respect for international law and prevent any further escalation”, – the document says.
Also, the foreign Ministers of the G7 countries expressed deep concern over the difficult from the point of view of the security situation and humanitarian situation in the Donbas.
The G7 made a statement on Libya
“We are convinced that the only way to achieve a peaceful and sustainable settlement of the conflict can only be through the full implementation by both parties of their obligations in the framework of the “Minsk agreements” with the aim of restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine”, – the document says.
In addition, the communique the group of seven emphasized that “economic sanctions can be lifted only in case if Russia will fully comply with these agreements, but we are also ready to take further restrictive measures if Russia’s actions demand it”.
