Asteroid 2012 TC4 is not a very memorable name, but after the recent analysis scientists definitely attracts attention. Astronomers say that this asteroid, which last week swept at a safe distance from Earth, may collide with our planet.

An asteroid the size of a house that just flew past almost as close as many satellites in orbit (44,000 kilometers), then return and future visit may result in his fall to the planet. It’s just a few thousand kilometers above the level of satellites in geosynchronous orbit.

Five years ago, he flew at a distance of twice – two weeks after it was discovered. The latest models of the future path of cosmic fragments show that he gets attracted by earth’s gravity every time span. Scientists do not exclude that when the asteroid will return in 2050, he can “stay with us forever.”
