Switzerland – 27th member of the 2018 world Cup

The Swiss team played a draw with Northern Ireland (0:0) in a reciprocal butt match for the right to play at the world Cup in 2018.

The first meeting between these two teams ended with the victory of the Swiss – 1:0.

Thus, the team of Vladimir Petkovic became the 27th participant of the world championship to be held in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018.

Note that the Swiss has reached the final stage of the world Cup for the fourth time in a row.

Switzerland will be placed in the second pot together with Spain, winner of the Peru – New Zealand, England, Colombia, the winner of the pair Italy – Sweden, Mexico and Uruguay. Russia on the rights of the organizer is in the first basket.
