Psychologists interviewed 1479 man, whose age at the time of the survey ranged from 14 to 24 years. Each of them told me if he uses the services of any of five popular web services: Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter or YouTube. After that, respondents said the extent to which each of these social networks gives them Association with such a negative connotation with words like “anxiety”, “depression”, “loneliness” or “bullying”. The result of Instagram took the resulting “anti-rating” first place, followed by Snapchat. However, it is worth noting that, even if the work of scientists and has attracted wide attention, at least a thousand people are not too wide a selection.

About the conclusions reported in the report of the Royal society for public health RSPH and the British Movement for the health of young people .

Different scientists often devote their research to social networks, but often they do not compare the different services and evaluate the impact of social networks on the whole person. While different professionals sometimes come to conclusions, at first glance seeming almost mutually exclusive. For example, psychologists from the University of California in San Diego came to the conclusion that communication in social networks helps to extend the life, while, according to the researchers from the Tasmanian University with a communication this leads to the fact that people often begin to experience stress and anxiety, and become much more insular. However, the majority of experts agree in opinion that the faithful can be both observation and social network, and more, can be useful if you get involved with them “in moderation” and harmful if you give them too much time and attention. In this regard, researchers from the University of Copenhagen recommended from time to time for at least a week to completely abandon the use of the social networks.
