Ouba Titieva sentenced to 4 years in colony-settlement

The head of the Chechen “Memorial” Oub Titiev received Monday to four years in prison by the verdict of the Shali town court.

The court decided to keep Titieva a measure of restraint in the form of arrest until the sentence comes into force.

The prosecution demanded a human rights activist to four years in prison and a large fine, and the defense asked the court for acquittal.

The defendant pleaded not guilty and stated that his case was fabricated.

Recall that in the car 61-year-old Titieva the police found a bag of drugs, he said that the package was planted.
