Against mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell opened the case, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. They think that the 3 mobile operators, there are signs of violation of legislation on protection from unfair competition.
Recently, operators have introduced a 4-week billing plans. Now take a fee for 28 days instead of calendar month 30-31 day. Thus, in a year “got” an additional month, and subscribers instead of 12 subscription fee are required to pay 13 times.
“In their explanations of the operators stated that legislation, the estimated period of one month set by the subscription fees. Also pointed out that they have another form of payment – “payment for package of services”, therefore, this statutory restriction does not apply to their new tariff plans. Thus, in particular, it was noted that “the concept of fees for service has a different legal nature than the monthly fee,” wrote on his page in Facebook Maria Procyshen, state Commissioner of the AMCU.

However, in their instruments the operators use the term “monthly fee”.
In March this year in 20 Ukrainian cities launched 4G. Meanwhile, the world stood on the threshold of introducing mobile communications 5G. Manufacturers of gadgets, Lenovo, Samsung, Huawei, OnePlus and OPPO are preparing the devices for the new standards. The device will appear next year.
