Blitzkrieg for the return of the Russian delegation at the session hall of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) failed, happily told Ryan.

“So, bottom line: blitzkrieg-scenario for Russia in the PACE broke jointly. But let’s be very vigilant. Thanks to the Ukrainian delegation!”, – wrote Deputy on his page on Facebook.

According to him, Kiev has demanded from the Secretary General of the Council of Europe thorbjørn Jagland to sue Russia, which pays part of the contribution to the budget of the PACE, waiting for the restoration of the authority of the national delegations in full.

“The PACE Bureau from Jagland today demanded a tough stance in the negotiations in Moscow, and in General to sue the Russian Federation for nonpayment of dues,” said the Ariev.

Recall that in 2014 the Russian Parliament was deprived of voting rights at the sessions and opportunities to participate in the work of the statutory bodies of the Assembly because of the position on the Crimea. After that, Russia refused to pay dues to the Council of Europe.

As stated by the permanent representative of Russia to the EU Vladimir Chizhov, in January the Council of Europe may be the last opportunity to bring the voice of the Russian delegation in PACE.
