In Latvia began a major NATO military exercise “Silver arrow-2017” (Silver Arrow 2017) with the participation of 11 countries.
About it reports a press-service of the Ministry of defence of Latvia.
The exercise involved soldiers from 11 allied countries, including from Albania, USA, Estonia, Italy, Canada, the UK, Poland, Slovenia, Spain and Germany, a total population of 3 500 people.
The Latvian armed forces and the military of the allies will work out “vital mission to protect the country.”
The maneuvers will last until October 29.
