For the last 3 months experts have recorded in Ukraine, about fifty violations of freedom of speech. This was announced by Executive Director of “Institute of mass information,” Oksana Romaniuk, reports “UKRINFORM”.

“The first quarter of 2017 to the level of freedom of speech is about the same as the first quarter of 2016. If in the first quarter of 2016, the Institute recorded 50 cases of violations, in 2017 for the first quarter of 52 cases of violations”, – said the representative of “Reporters without borders”.

Romaniuk also noted a slight trend to improvement in this sphere. “If in 2016 was 7 (attacks on journalists – ed.) for the first quarter in 2017, only two,” she said, adding that, however, in Ukraine “has increased the number of cases of restriction of access to information”.
