How Russia treated the Crimea and the Donbass – an UN-named sum

After the annexation of Crimea and the deteriorating situation in the Donbass, the Russian economy lost $ 55 billion due to sanctions.

This is stated in the report on the impact of sanctions against Moscow and reciprocal measures taken by Russia, informs “Interfax-Ukraine”.

Meanwhile, the economy of the countries that have imposed sanctions against Russia has lost $ 3.2 billion on a monthly basis.

The UN special Rapporteur on the negative impact of unilateral coercive measures on the enjoyment of human rights Idriss Jazairi considers that three years after the introduction of sanctions against Russia is necessary to evaluate their effectiveness.

He added that the sanctions should begin to gradually withdraw and cancel those that affect the population.
