Czech tennis player Tomas Berdych has commented on a press-service of the Australian Open defeat by Rafael Nadal in the 1/8 finals of Australian Open– 0:6, 1:6, 6:7.

“Rafa played well, but in the first two sets I wasn’t on the court – I played one that was six months ago. On the third I finally came, and it was good. That is the only positive in the match.

You can find a lot of details, a lot of bad statistics. As I said in the beginning of the match on the court wasn’t me. The one I played, which was six months ago. In the third set I played well and created opportunities.

The decision to take a break for six months was correct, I had the time to prepare the body. I made some changes, and they deliver results. I started winning the matches.”

In the 1/4 finals, the Spaniard will play American Francis Tiago.
