A giant black hole twice “snatched” by a stream of particles

Astronomers have discovered a massive black hole, which released “double burp” of hot gas.

When the cosmic gas is approaching a black hole, it sucked, but part of the energy is returned to space in the form of “burping”. Space telescopes Hubble and Chandra discovered the black hole of 800 million light years from us, which occurred just two emissions with a slight difference in time 100 thousand years.

“Black holes are known to be gluttons, but it turns out they have no manners. There are many examples of black holes with a single reflux, and we have now discovered a galaxy with a supermassive black hole, which gave two,” says Julia Comerford (Comerford Julie) from the University of Colorado at boulder.

The “burp” consists of a stream of high-energy particles that are knocked back out of the black hole.
The study is published in the Astrophysical Journal.
