A California resident shot the mother for a broken headset

A California resident was arrested for having shot and killed his 68-year-old mother. The incident occurred amid a family quarrel and a broken headset for video games, for which the young man promised to kill the parents.

28-year-old Matthew Nicholson (Matthew Nicholson) played video games in the bedroom of his home, but a dispute with his mother, Lydia Nicholson (Lydia Nicholson), interrupted his occupation. In the course of a dispute, Matthew broke the headset and began to blame the parents. After you grabbed the gun and shot his mother in the head. His father, Loren Nicholson (Loren Nicholson ), grabbed the gun out of the hands of his son and he ran away, hoping to hide in the house of relatives.

One of the family friends told local media: “I understand that he and the father would have killed, but maybe the gun jammed. The father managed to grab the gun and empty it”.

While Lauren Nicholson called the police at about 21:48 PM, his son fled the scene and went to his sister’s house in Riverbed, reported local news service. Then, Matthew Nicholson was stopped on the road and arrested without incident.

Lydia Nicholson was taken to the hospital where she died.
