Silver medalist at last year’s youth European championship the national team of Ukraine at the first stage of his debut in the history of performances at the world forum among peers in the Czech Republic, alas, is lost to all opponents and took the last fourth place.

In the opening match against the Champions of South America the Argentines wards coaches Nicholas Pasina and Anatoly Anushika only on the block looked a little better than the rivals.

But in all other elements of volleyball, our boys were defeated by their opponents that resulted in a negative balance of points 57:75 and “dry” for the party defeat. And in attack, though all of the forwards earned points, however, and up to ten none of them was able to hold on.

Insulting it is possible to calculate the following failure in batislava opposition from the silver medalists of Asian Iranians. Losing to opponents in two primary sets, our children, caught in the zone, then managed to break a duel course to level the score – 2:2. They had a good chance to win the fifth and cropped tie-break, but still achieve the goal has failed.

It is interesting to note that in this game the Ukrainians clearly surpassed the Iranians in the attack, where high performance was noted by Timothy Poluyan and Oleg Carpenter, was slightly better on serve (four aces on account of the Carpenter, two George klapka and one binder Alexei Golovine) and blocks (three “Chechenia” vis made Poluyan, Carpentry and Klepko). But the whole picture ruined many own mistakes that mostly happened at the reception and defense.

It was a good opportunity under the curtain of the group stage again, as a year ago in the 1/2 final of the European “youth”, to beat the Italians. Besides, losing to them in the opening set, Ukrainians, savedas and seized the initiative prevailed in two subsequent batches. Alas, as it turned out, this emotional outburst disappeared somewhere and the fourth or fifth periods of the meeting was won by “the Squadra Azzurra” with a double-digit lead in the points. And in all of the major elements of the advantage, albeit very small, but still on the side of the Italians.

The top two teams of the groups at the second stage from scratch in the newly formed quartets will compete for the semi-finals and further distribution of the prize Fund. The remaining eight teams, including our own, on the same principle will compete for 9 to 16-th place in the final roster.
